Active Shooter Awareness

The Active Shooter Awareness Training is designed to equip employees with essential knowledge and strategies for responding effectively during an active shooter event. The training focuses on improving situational awareness, understanding threat response protocols such as “Run, Hide, Fight,” and supporting emergency preparedness within the workplace.

Who should take this training?

All employees in any workplace setting, because active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly, often before law enforcement arrives. Employees are often the first on the scene and need to know how to react to protect themselves and others.

OSHA Compliance

This course is developed in alignment with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and guidelines, specifically targeting requirements for OSHA General Duty Clause (Section 5(a)(1)) and 29 CFR 1910.38 (Emergency Action Plans).

Course Duration and Requirements

To successfully complete the training, students will need access to a computer or mobile device with a reliable internet connection. The core of the course involves a 30-minute presentation that covers critical safety protocols and best practices. Following the presentation, students are required to take a final quiz, and a passing score of 70% is necessary to fulfill the course requirements and ensure students have a solid understanding of the safety guidelines.
